Area Cleaning Manager
Salary: £30,000 – £36,000 per annum (depending on experience)

About the Role
Colliers Commercial Cleaning Limited is seeking a proactive, hands-on Area Cleaning Manager to support our expanding operations. This dynamic role is perfect for a high-performing Cleaning Supervisor or Team Leader looking to step up, or an established Area Manager seeking a visible, active role within a growing company.
You will manage a diverse portfolio of commercial cleaning contracts across the North West. This is a field-based position requiring regular site visits, active staff mentorship, and direct involvement to ensure we consistently exceed client expectations.
Key Responsibilities
Team & Site Operations
- Quality Assurance: Conduct regular site visits, quality checks, and performance audits to maintain premium service standards.
- Staff Leadership: Supervise, coach, and motivate cleaning teams and supervisors, fostering a positive workplace culture.
- Workforce Management: Coordinate staff rotas, manage absences, lead new-hire inductions, and provide hands-on cleaning cover during peak periods or staff shortages.
- Compliance & Safety: Enforce proper uniform, PPE, and equipment usage across all assigned locations.
Client Relationship Management
- Service Delivery: Build trusted relationships with clients through regular reviews and proactive communication.
- Issue Resolution: Respond swiftly and professionally to client feedback, resolving operational issues before they escalate.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify added-value opportunities to enhance service efficiency and contract value.
Health & Safety Compliance
- Safety Standards: Embed a robust health and safety culture across all sites in line with company policies.
- Documentation: Complete and maintain site risk assessments, method statements, and operational logs.
- Chemical Safety: Ensure strict COSHH compliance, safe chemical handling, and prompt hazard reporting.
Inventory & Resource Management
- Stock Control: Monitor, order, and distribute cleaning materials, minimising waste and managing budgets effectively.
- Asset Maintenance: Inspect machinery and tools regularly, ensuring faults are reported and resolved quickly.
General Administration
- Strategic Collaboration: Partner with senior management to refine operational systems and assist with recruitment.
- Reporting: Maintain highly accurate digital records of inspections, audits, and team performance metrics.
About You

Required Experience & Skills
- Industry Background: Proven experience within commercial cleaning services.
- Leadership History: Prior experience as a Cleaning Supervisor, Team Leader, or Area Manager.
- Operational Knowledge: Strong understanding of commercial cleaning methodologies, rotas, and scheduling.
- Compliance: Solid working knowledge of health & safety regulations and COSHH guidelines.
- Soft Skills: Excellent interpersonal communication, conflict resolution, and client-management abilities.
- Logistics: Proficient IT/admin skills, a full UK driving licence, and access to a reliable vehicle.
